Bio

Michael Moses (b. 1972) is a contemporary American mixed-media painter and illustrator. Born and raised in Alaska, Michael draws inspiration from nature and native Inuit stonecut printwork as well as the contrasts/colors of city environments. With roots in skateboarding and urban art, Michael was a contributing artist to influential skate/streetwear brands such as H-Street, New Deal and Plan-B among others in the 1990s. A Hollander Group and KU scholarship recipient, Michael received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Kansas in 1999. His work has been collected in the United States, Europe, Asia and is on permanent display at the University of Kansas.
